HTC DROID ERIS for Verizon – first look
Here’s my quick and dirty look at the new HTC DROID ERIS for Verizon, a reworked version of the Sprint HTC Hero. The ERIS swaps some hardware keys for touch sensitive ones, but feels thinner and more sleek overall. More info: is.gd

probably because Yahoo! charges a fee for third party applications (such as the ones the droid uses) to access your account. I’ve heard a lot of people had problems with Yahoo e-mail.

@wutan3 no, it is mini usb. htc uses a proprietary jack called EXTusb. It gives them a proprietary port, and it works with mini-usb. this way it will work with common computer cables, and they can use their own products on it without an additional port.

I got the droid last week and returned it 2 days later. The battery life is a fucking joke, and i couldn’t get my yahoo email or im. I got the storm2. Not as tech-y but a solid phone.

it’s not mini-usb right? it is a htc proprietary jack. big difference.

i refuse to call these things phones. they’re still a little underpowered to me for modification/customization. The second they stop bundling phone service with smart devices, i’ll get one. I’m looking forward to messing with MS courier tablet
