No, I select the iMusic folder in Mixzing and play the files from the iMusic folder, so the files aren’t duplicated. I don’t play games on the phone. I haven’t dl’ed any games, sorry.

So, do you keep the downloaded files in imusic as well as mixzing? does that not take up more space? Or do you transfer from phone to computer, then back to phone? Sorry about all the questions. Also, do you know of any fun games right off w/out having to go through the whole market and then trying them out?

I would recommend the MUSIC ONLINE app. It is very good for music downloads

i don’t delete anything, i keep them. i’ve been downloading free music since 1999 with napster. it’s up to you whether or not you delete the files, it’s just a disclaimer so they can keep running legally. good luck

Thank you! This has helped. Do I need to delete the song from imusic after i download it on my computer and back to my phone again? Also, once it is in Mixzing, if i delete it from imusic (before i put it on my computer) will it delete it from mixzing also? Do you use Mixzing as your default music player? I love my eris! I keep learning lots of new things to do w/ it from your videos..so thank you for posting them!!

would you reccommend this phone over the droid?

if you go to the bottom menu and click the default Music icon from there, the songs you have downloaded on iMusic will show up there and let you minimize the application so you can do other things. For some reason it doesn’t work that way when you launch the song from the iMusic application. Mixzing is better organized and downloads the album art for you. good luck email me if you still have problems.

When you click the song from your downloads in iMusic, it opens up in the HTC default music player. If you click away from that screen, it will stop. I didn’t know that until I just tried. Download Mixzing Lite from android market (it’s free). follow exactly what I do in this video after you download a song and you will have no problems. If you are clicking “download”, the songs are being downloaded, sounds like you just can’t find them.

you cannot delete the apps that came with the phone, as far as I know. as for deleting apps you downloaded, just uninstall.

Access the music folder from your music player application, and make sure it is maximized, or in full screen mode so when you click the Eris’ Menu button it pulls the Menu from the application, not the phone.
I found the music player that came with the phone isn’t that good. I use the Mixzing Lite player, it’s free for download & almost as good as the Zune.
In MixZing Lite, once you click the widget and it goes full screen, click Menu, Settings, Select Music Folders.

@hjones7200, do you have to moto droid or the htc droid eris? cuz they run different operating systems, motorola droid runs android 2.0 while the eris is an older android version. that may be your problem

Ok, I am new to the Droid. I downloaded the IMusic, but then when i went to my music folder on my phone, it doesn’t look like yours. it also does not have the setting options that you have. did you download a different music player than what came with the phone?

music doesn’t seem to drain it much. google sync is a killer. the apps that use gps drain alot. basically you don’t want too much stuff running in the background, if you can manage your apps w/taskiller correctly the battery life is acceptable. talking also uses alot, i think the talk time was tested around 4 1/2 hours by phonedog.

i listen to music a lot during the day, and i might be getting this phone. Question is how much battery will the phone take if i just use it for music during the day?(and of course texting and calls) it would be let down if i only got an hour out of the day of music and my battery is almost dead…
