I was just listening to Howard in my car on a station called crystal one. the stations aren’t very dependable and sometimes will stop after a half hour, but most if not all the time i am able to find a station, whether “history of howard” or recent shows. they were talking about conan and Leno so the one i was just listening to had to be this week.

are howard stations still available?

Great videos. Can you post a list of your favorite apps or ones you think are must have? Thank you

thanks dude, i feel the same. and while the iPhone can’t touch some of these phones right now, don’t think Apple won’t go down without a fight. I think the hand held tablets are the future and the rumor is they are gonna unveil something kickass soon.
I might post another Eris video tomorrow, it should be good. have fun w/the phone peace

I got a droid eris a few days ago, and i love it soo much. The more you mess with it the more you will fall in love. I feel like i could get rid of my ipod cameras computers and probably even my tv if i could hook my 360 up to my eris. Thats how much this phone rules. If you own an Iphone and you think its gods gift to phones you need to check out the eris. In my opinion it blows the iphone out of the water. Thanks nickrock for showing me how to get the best from my eris.

no one is sure about tethering right now. I am going to use it when it’s only needed, and not abuse it, until i have a better understanding of verizons policy.
battery life is fine, i have gotten use to it by now. i have to charge it every night, but it usually lasts the day and i use it quite a bit. once you get the hang of the phone, you find ways to conserve battery and get the most out of it. since it does so much, u will use it alot, keep that in mind.

I really liked your informative videos! I got this phone a few weeks ago and I didn’t know it could do all this. Can you possibly list somewhere all the apps you used?

Loved it man, haha. I’m confused about the 5gb “unlimited data plan” myself. I’ve done some reading and it goes both ways on what people say… Either, “it doesn’t cost anything to teether because it really is unlimited” or “you only get 5gb to teether before you are billed extra.” I guess I’m gonna just ask a rep. But, how do you like the Eris? and how’s the battery life on that sucker? I really want one.

I thought you said unlimited is really unlimited in your previous post?
Can you please explain what you mean. Is tethering legal or not. Whether you are using bandwidth on your laptop or on the phone, data is data, how will they know the difference.
Sorry, I am just confused.
Actually you’re wrong the unlimited plan really is unlimited what you’re talking about is is for modems and not actuall phones like this I thought the same as you but look on the vzw forums and a rep answers this question straight confirming that unlimited really is unlimited. except for people using the broadband usb stuff they sell
about 2 years ago
No if the network you’re on catches you they can charge you for the data you used and it can be very expensive.

so is it fast and smooth cause thats what im looking for cause ive heard that the sprint hero is kind of slow and laggy?
however, if you watch alot of Youtube, you will go over 5GB no problem. So basically the way I see it, if you use a ridiculous amount they might try to figure out if you are tethering or not then make that decision.
Supposedly you can get another $30 plan on top of the one you have for tethering, but that’s also capped at 5GB. Makes no sense, besided, Verizon says they don’t offer tethering when in fact you can because I’ve done it.
I’d be careful to be honest. I tested to see if it worked, and it was downloading like 1 meg/second, and I wasn’t even clicking anything. so I shut it off.
there is alot of confusion about the $30 data plan vs. the $45. the “unlimited $30 plan” isn’t “unlimited” it’s only for 5GB. “Anyone using more than 5GB per line in a given month is presumed to be using the service in a manner prohibited above, and we reserve the right to immediately terminate the service of any such person without notice”

is the teethering illegal?

lol at the annotation at 1:22. Thanks, i should try that to. Question, this phone should have google maps turn by turn direction but since the OS is android 1.5 and needs to be 2.0, do you know when this phone will be unpdated to android 2.0 for the sense UI?
