3G = 128mb of ram
3Gs = 256mb of ram
Ram is basically the short term memory for computers, what you’re thinking of his the Flash memory such as 8gb, 12gb, 32gb, 64gb. that holds all your apps and music, etc

bigdima3 thats not true both the iphone 3gs, 3g modles all the sizes have the same ammount of ‘RAM’ just more storage for applications/music/videos/photos the ‘RAM’ is a seperate chip.

This video is biased because the need to be at the exact rate (tap, battery, settings, how old it is, bytes of storage, ect..) but apple has done many test and the iphone 3gs is faster than the iphone 3g becase it has a faster processer and slightly faster communications chip.

dude, big amount of space will not slow down the iphone, , thats total bullshit, , more space will require more ram and/or a faster memory controller , which will give a big performance , ,
It’s like the USB sticks, e.g. 32gb model will do 27mb/s read while the 2 gb model will do 7mb/s, again , because it has a faster controller that can handle the space

it is fair, speed variation doesnt count with how old the phone is… the cache processing on any apple product remains the same speed, its all to do with how apples mythology is hardware is built directly apart of software, unlike PCs.

the bigger the space the slower the iPod/phone because it has more stuff to run through when you play a game like a computer, but i think they have a faster processor with the bigger storage per iPod,Phone
